Yet, for all its returns, augmented connectivity brings the increased danger of theft, deception, and abuse. Cybercrime is a criminal activity that is carried out by the aid of network and other forms of telecommunication. Cybercrimes involve technological devices such as computers and smartphones. It as well involves a network or a device that is connected to the network. In popular occasions, these malicious acts are done to generate profit to the criminals. However, on some occasions, these activities are carried out against devices of the computer to damage them or disable them (Spitzberg & Hoobler 2002). Some other cybercriminals use the network to propagate malware, illegal information, illicit images or materials. In addition, some cybercriminals can do both destroying the devices that they attack as well as request or get financial gain. Cybercrimes’ primary effect is monetary. It can be comprised of many profit-driven criminal actions such as ransomware attacks, email and internet deception, and identity swindle.
