Major themes surround this play including themes of love, power, hatred, and even jealousy among others. In answering the second question, however, Queen Elizabeth’s attitude towards Will and Viola’s love is bitter and negative during the first stages of the film but later she turns out to be compassionate. Queen Elizabeth seems to be a non-believer of love. However, she loves plays and she sees, to be interested in the love that Will and Viola shared. Throughout the film, given their tight attachment, it can be seen that the Queen feels that there is something good going on between Will and Viola.
