Introduction
Lifespan development is characterized by gradual and progressive human growth
and development and occurs in different stages. The first stage is from birth to 12 years.
The second one occurs between 12-40 years, and the last stage appears from 40 years till
death. The Babies documentary is one of the films that major in human development. It
assesses the development of kids between the age of 0 and 2 years. It is majorly pinned to
culture as a factor that affects the development of infants. Essentially, it focuses on the
cognitive, social, and physical aspects of life portrayed in infants under two years. Another
movie is Mean Girls, which addresses the influences of lifespan development on
adolescence. Cady is the protagonist character in the film, and she is seen attending a high
school after schooling in an African school. She integrates into a group called the plastics,
and her interaction throughout the film portrays her physical, cognitive, and psychosocial
concepts of development.
The third film is the Bucket List which uses its protagonist characters to explain the
development from 40 years to death. The film is about two older adults Edward Cole and
Carter Chambers, who have cancer. They have different life experiences, yet they live their
old life together as friends from their experiences. The film pictures the importance of
hope during old age. It highlights the development aspects associated with nearing death.
