About seven years ago I was diagnosed with a disorder. I am a 39 years old

female who lives in Horn Lake, MS and my name is Janice Ketchum and I been

diagnosed with an anxiety disorder; for the past 6 years I have been dealing with this

disorder. We have tired all types of medication, due to this I have to take several

different medication on a daily bases to deal with this disorder. Klonopin is the

medication that I am currently taken for my disorder. Taking these medications will help

me to concentrate and function on my job, as well as to continue to take care of my

family and to be able to go to school and function the way I should.

I think we all should know that anxiety is a general term for several disorders that

cause nervousness, fear, apprehension and worrying. Unlike other disorders, this disorder

affect how we feel and behave, and have caused real physical symptoms.

I’ve found that there are several different types of anxiety disorders that exist: (1)

“Panic disorder-which is individuals experience feelings of intense fear or discomfort;

feeling of intense anxiety or terror accompanied by sense of impending doom. (2)

Agoraphobias- which is the fear of being in a situation or place from which it might be

difficult or embarrassing to escape or in which there may be no help available if the

individual experiences a panic attacks. (3) Phobias-is fear and anxiety related to specific

situations, persons, or objects, different types of phobias are categorized on the basis of

the object of fear. (4) Social Phobia (Social Anxiety Disorder) - is on that consists of a

persistent fear of social situation such as parties or other social gatherings. (5) Obsessive-

compulsive disorder- is chronic conditions that, if not treated, can cause significant

disability, with symptoms following a waxing and waning course. (6) Post-Traumatic

disorder- is disabling condition that is often accompanied by depression. (7) Generalized
