Sampling strategy used in the data collection process is convenience sampling. People
visiting the local shopping mall were sampled by convenience. Convenience sampling is cheap,
saves time, and utilize available study participants. Moreover, convenience sampling is widely
used for pilot studies (Stephens 14). However, chances of collecting biased data and sampling
errors during convenience sampling is very high. Therefore, the conclusions drawn from data
sampled by convenience cannot be generalized or used to formulate laws.
From the descriptive table, the average annual income for visiting the local shopping mall
is $34766.67 with a standard deviation of $22875.5. Therefore, the average salary of a person
visiting the local shopping mall is $34766.67.also, the average age of a person for visiting the
local shopping mall is 39.93 years with a standard deviation of 11.902 years . The minimum and
maximum age of persons visiting the local shopping mall is 18 and 61 years respectively. Also,
the minimum and maximum income of persons visiting the local shopping mall is $5000 and
$85000 years respectively.
Confidence interval assists in estimating intervals if chance of an event happening (Hayter 20).
The calculation of 95% in this scenario gives and interval of (35.671, 44.189). Therefore, we are
95% confident that the average age of any person visiting the local shopping mall lies between
35.671 and 44.189.

have adopted a random sampling which represents the entire population.
