Healthcare organizations like the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) ensure that they track patient satisfaction for health organizations in the United States. Keeping track of patient satisfaction is a significant activity because patient gain a voice power to expose poor healthcare services and the upcoming needs that are not addressed by healthcare organizations (Skaggs et al. 2017). The Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) is a platform where patients provide their feedback on services they receive starting from communication with nurses and doctors, pain management, discharge information, and hospital rating among others. There are different strategies that healthcare organization can adapt in case they experience drop in the top box score to regain their initial evaluation. In the case of the 80-bed hospital, the three strategies that can improve their HCAHPS score are adopting the electronic health records (EHR), AIDET, and enhancing physician-patient communication.
