McKenzie et al. (2015) states that the inpatient facilities are accommodative to many patients because their infrastructures are more extensive while outpatient facilities are just enough to serve few patients because most of these outpatients do not require a lot of medical attention. Inpatient facilities have a greater number of doctors and nurses than in an outpatient facility (McKenzie et al., 2015). It can also be noted that the inpatient facilities are healthcare infrastructures that are meant for helping sick and injured people whereas the outpatient facilities act like offices of particular medical specialists who attend to people who do not require intensive medical care.
