HATE CRIME AND GANG VIOLENCE 2
Hate crime is known as the violence of intolerance and bigotry which intends to hurt and
intimidates an individual because of race, citizenship, disability, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
The two factors that contribute to gang violent include the poverty, unemployment and youth
crimes. The factors contributing to hate crime are disrespect issues, drugs use and poor parenting
(Paludi, 2011). Considering all sorts of crimes, hate crimes likely to create or exacerbate tensions
that trigger the larger community in associate to race conflicts and civil disturbances. Certainly,
the violent hate crimes have been identified to be much more brutal than the similar non-hate
crimes.
The hate crimes involve offender’s use of extreme violence and anything that is required to
subdue the victim. The crime pattern which I have identified is the hot spot and school crime
patterns whereby a certain group of similar crimes have been committed by an individual or
more individual within close locations and proximity to one another (Paludi, 2011). The patterns
of women are offending and victimization to which have not yet been reported. This is hate
crime in which involves racism, ethnicity and fits the trends within the different communities.
Hate crimes occurs in schools, juvenile facilities, prisons and jails. The biggest trend which is
discerned by gang specialists is the increase of proliferation of gangs within schools (school
violence).
