The two ideologies have been debated since the late 1800s and 1900s when many nations wanted to separate from imperialist nations such as Britain and France. However, both ideologies can be said to have greatly influenced both the political and social aspects found all over the world today. The key thing to look into here is not just a differentiation, but establish how they influenced each other. Nationalism Nationalism ideologies became popular in the 1800s and 1900s and implies the identification of the state with a people. Its principles are based on the idea that nationalities should form states that include all the members who identify as part of that nationality. The territories under such nationalities would be under one political unit and be managed under a single administration, the government.
