of a severe abdominal pain for the last two weeks. The patient is reporting pain in the bellow that
led her to present in the emergency room. Additionally, the patient is indicating severe
abdominal pain that is described the pain as sharp, crampy and hurts, particularly with
movements like sitting down hard, running, and having sex. For this patient, there are other

Questions and Answers
1. What other subjective data would you obtain?
There are some subjective data that I must acquire in conducting an effective diagnosis
and treatment of the patient’s condition. First, I would inquire further from the patient on her
name, ethnicity, and race since the treatment plan is determined by some of these demographics.
I would also inquire about occupation to identify the needed changes in case lifestyle change is
recommended. Social history is also important to identify whether the patient has social and
emotional support in home setting. I would then inquire the specific areas of belly where the pain
is emerging from and establish whether the pain is radiating to other parts of the body. I would
then ask the patient what practices she does to relieve the pain. After acquiring these vital
concerns, will gather more subjective data to better understand the patient’s concerns. I would
then ask the patient a series of questions that help in obtaining the review of systems to identify
if there is any other part of the body that has issues as well. Finally, I would inquire whether the
patient is sing any douching or vaginal creams that could be causing irritation to her.
