Running head: WORKPLACE ETHICS 1 Workplace Ethics Student’s Name Institutional Affiliation WORKPLACE ETHICS 2 Workplace Ethics Effects and Consequences of Sniffing Glue Sniffing glue is an inexpensive but highly effective way that people, especially street children have used to get high. However, glue has other industrial uses and this has posed as a challenge to the companies that produce it. One such company is Harvey Benjamin Fuller, which was founded in 1887; the company is among the top glue manufactures with more than ten thousand different types of glues. The different types have a number of uses ranging from cars, disposable diapers and cigarettes. However, the glue also tends to land on the wrong hands and is used for purposes of getting high. Among the regions affected by this phenomenon is Central America with a growing number of street urchins using Fuller’s glue to get high. Sadly, there has been adverse effects on these children with most suffering from addictions of the deadly fumes in these glues. It has led to an outcry by child welfare services with pleas that a noxious oil be added to stop abusers from using. However, the company refuses to comply because of its legitimate users. It has caused a problem for Fuller, which works hard to prove its image as a company with a conscience.
