Porter’s Five force analysis provides a comprehensive understanding of the external factors affecting the success of the company in the smartphone industry. This model is an essential tool in assessing the forces that influence the company: new entrants, suppliers, competition, customer, and substitutes are all the five forces that shall be analyzed in this model. Through its product s like iPhone and iPad, Apple has attained great success as an organization even though it has gone through various up and down phases since its establishment in 1979 (Chen& Ann, 2016). In the year 2014, the company broke the record of gathering the market capitalization above $700 billion. The driving force behind Apple’s success can be associated with its ability to bring up new products and innovations to the market and industry that has created significant brand loyalty. Its marketing strategy and product development depict a cognizance of the importance of dealing with the primary marketplace forces that are likely to affect its profitability and market share.
