Coconut Grove was very popular during World War 2., and it was the place to be. The structure was one story, and it had a basement. The basement consisted of a bar known as Melody lounge, storage areas and a kitchen. The first floor consisted of a large dining room, ballroom and several bars. The main entrance of the restaurant was a revolving door at the Piedmont street side of the structure. It was so popular that at one time, a very famous Hollywood movie star called Buck Jones had his dinner at the Grove restaurant after attending a BC-HC football game with Maurice Tobin who was the mayor of Boston(Lindemann & Lindemann, 2017). However, at that very evening, a bartender had ordered a busboy to fix a faulty light bulb around 10:15 pm.
