Surname 1 Student’s Name Instructor Course Date Did Caesar Augustus Restored Republican? Caesar Augustus was the first emperor of the Roman Empire. The Emperor has the most vibrant history in the whole of Europe. Julius Caesar had adopted him. At first, he was named Octavian before he became the emperor of Rome. In his leadership, he acted as if he was reforming the republic. He uses this means to hide his intentions coming up with a schematic of a covert dictatorship, initializing the Roman emperor time, forcing and influencing the citizen and the Senate. He came up with a new government structure (Boatwright, 2004,24). The time of Augustus was the base of the Europe history with him coming up with a covert magistrate where several other Roman Emperor followed. Through his shrewd influential regime, compelling and engaging powerful military, Augustus applied some tactics one by one that transformed the power structure of the Roman Empire (Millar, 2002, 20 -57). At the frontage of restoring the republic, he hiked up his power strength, economic influence, stabilizing and building up a Rome which favored every individual. The financial position of Rome was also boosted in his leadership. These improvements were realized at the expense of the people rights. This doesn't mean Augustus restored the republic.
