It revolves around entrepreneurship, conflicts, friendship, and betrayal. The movie, narrated in flashbacks, looks at the development and early days of the social networking website Facebook. The organizational situation presented in this movie is Bruce Tuckman’s five-stage model of group development. According to Tuckman, a team cannot be expected to be successful right from its formation. Forming a team is similar to maintaining a relationship since time, patience, and effort are needed as members move through recognizable phases (Le BlancBlanchard, 2011). Harvard students Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, and the twins, Tyler Winklevoss and Cameron Winklevoss agreed to develop a social networking website for Harvard students (Fincher, 2010). As the networking site became successful, the twins realized that Mark plagiarized their idea but used a different coding system. Also, as the site gained access to more university campuses, Mark and Saverin begin to have divergent opinions about how the site is used.
