Facebook, is facing scrutiny over the manner in which it handles private information of its users. On 15th March 2019, their network was attacked exposing personal information for over 50 million users. The latest data breach was the largest in its operation history for the last 14 years. The attackers exploited a feature in Facebook’s code which enabled them to gain access to this information that would enable them to control these accounts. The attackers used three software flaws to break into user accounts including Zuckerberg account. It was also because of the poor design of the security software that the attackers managed to access that particular file. However, Facebook claimed that they fixed the bug.
