EMPLOYEE BENEFITS PACKAGE 2
Introduction
The type of organization for the benefit package is a company that has various
departments operating in the organization. In the organization, there is the marketing department,
production department, engineering department, human resource department, procurement
department and IT department. All these departments are headed by department managers and
assisted by the deputy managers. Each manager is assigned a secretary to handle the
miscellaneous services of the department.
Any employee joining the organization is normally given a three month period whereby
they will be in probation and work under close supervision (Beam & MacFadden, 2001). Within
these three months, the employee works as a temporary employee and no benefits are provided
besides the salary. This is mainly because in the event that they do not conduct themselves well
during the probation period, they are normally prone to be kicked out of the organization.
This company holds a serious belief on valuing the employees and always wants to
provide the best environment for each and every employee (Arthur, 2001). Therefore, once an
employee has completed the probation period as required, they are normally included in the
organization’s benefit plan where they will be receiving the compensation and benefits package.
The organization is quite aware that if they provide the employees with the
comprehensive benefit plans, it will have the ability of keeping as well as getting the high quality
staff which is normally the key driver. Therefore, since the sector is becoming highly
competitive and also the number of employees that are entering the workforce is diminishing, the
organization has faced the challenge of being more creative as well as responsive in terms of
timing, design and generosity of the benefits plan.
