DataNanny Product Brief
Data Nanny is a security program aimed for both individuals and organizations. To prevent user
and organizational data from being acquired and sold online, this system records and isolates it. On the
internet, data breaches abound, with people's personal information being obtained maliciously without
their knowledge. As more businesses suffer severe security breaches, the amount of data that has been
compromised is increasing. According to data breach statistics, hackers are motivated by money to
obtain data, and personal information is a valuable type of data to infiltrate. It's also clear that, even
though data breaches are becoming more regular, businesses are still unprepared. In the year 2020,
there were a total of 1001 data breaches in the United States. Meanwhile, over 155.8 million people
were affected by data exposures in the same year, which are defined as the unintentional disclosure of
sensitive information owing to inadequate information security. (Johnson)

Key Functions and Features
Data Nanny will allow users to keep track of how they disclose information online. This implies that
consumers will be able to see all their information requests made over the internet, as well as which
requests were refused for security reasons. The user will still be able to protest a request that has been
blocked or approved. Furthermore, if the user questions the request, the system will evaluate it using
Artificial Intelligence and assign it a level of certainty. Artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer
science concerned with giving computers human-like intelligence. All requests with a certainty level of
less than 85% will be immediately forwarded to an evaluation team to ascertain why the user need the
request to be granted. The response time to a user's request will be shorter than 24 hours.
Data Nanny has the advantage of not being dependent on the application the user uses to
access the internet, unlike other products that work in isolation. The platform can also be used on a
variety of personal devices, including phones, tablets, and laptops/desktops. Users must, however,
check that the program has been installed and activated on all these devices in order to ensure
maximum security and that the product is fully working.
Data Nanny will employ centralized server computers to manage all tracking blockers that are
installed on all of the user's devices. This setting allows all internet traffic to be routed through our Data
Nanny servers, thus making them proxy servers. A proxy server is a computer that lies in the middle of a
network, such as the internet, between the user's devices and another server computer. The requests
will then be filtered, and only those that are judged safe will be permitted through.
One issue that may arise as a result of all traffic being routed through Data Nanny's servers. To
get around this bottleneck, all of the system software will be written in Swift, a programming language
that allows system software to run faster after it's installed. However, because Swift is a very new
programming language, and most engineers are unlikely to be fluent in it, C++ might be used as a
substitute.
