The consideration of sustainability also ensures that the intangible or non-monetary costs are considered in analyzing the outcomes of the programs and their effectiveness.A cost-benefit analysis is essential in program evaluation especially in assessing the sustainability of such programs. The cost-benefit analysis is important in showing the outcomes of the programs in relation to the costs incurred by the different stakeholders (Robertson, Skelly, & Phillips, 2019). The aim of this approach is to ensure that the program in question has a higher benefit accrued to the community being served than the costs that are incurred in order to facilitate it.
