The ERG theory categorizes human needs into three categories, including existence,

a need to design the workplace to improve his performance by eliminating distractions. The
relatedness needs require creating a space that enables the candidate to express his innovative
ideas. Since he has vast experience working in teams, there is a need for social interaction and
teamwork. Growth involves the intrinsic desire for personal development. The candidate will
reach self-actualization when he reaches the desired growth.
The other theory is Herzberg's two-factor theory. It concentrates on hygiene needs that
the company must meet but will not improve employee's performance. The inability to meet the
needs will reduce performance. For instance, flexible working conditions, safety, and security are

to the job. Since the candidate is a go-getter and focused on growing professionally, career
advancement, and meaningful responsibilities.
The outcome at the individual level when applying ERG theory is recognizing
employees' multiple needs. For instance, if the company does not offer growth opportunities to
the candidate, it will reduce his motivational level. It will make him focus on relatedness needs
by increasing socialization with others. At the group level, there will be a need for effective
communication and team spirit to understand the specific needs of each member. It will play a
crucial role in ensuring the organizational environment is suitable to motivate each team
member. At the organizational level, it will enhance productivity and morale in the company. It
will increase understanding of what factors improve job satisfaction and determining appropriate
incentives.
When applying Herzberg's two-factor theory, the anticipated individual-level outcome is
the need for a clear job description to ensure each employee is aware when he is performing
well. Improving employees' quality and competence depends on enhanced supervision through a
clear individualized performance feedback and job descriptions. Such improvements will
motivate employees. At the team level, there is increased likelihood of focusing on job
enrichment and motivation. Since engagement is a critical component of team success, there is
need to provide employees with autonomy and power to achieve the desired work-life balance.
When the team leader is supportive and working collaboratively with the members to solve
work-related challenges, it is easier to improve employees' motivation and satisfaction.
Therefore, there will be harmonious relationships amongst the team members to prevent
dissatisfaction. The anticipated outcome at the organizational level is that satisfied workers
perform their duties adequately while providing quality services to customers, improving
