Impacts of Social Media on Business Communication
The project research method defines the procedures and the phases the researcher will
employ to fulfill the objective of the study. The main focus of this chapter is research design
procedures, data and data collections technics, data description and collection instruments,
and the analysis method procedure of the collected data. Generally, the primary focused is
explaining the research philosophy and theory aiding in the fulfillment of the research. In the
impacts of social media in business communication, the research methods are focused on the
relationship between social media platforms and business communication strategies. Hence
the research will be based on the cause-effect relationship defined by the independent
variables with an explanation of the data patterns. The research will also base on first-hand
information from the field and correspondents.
Quantitative research is based on numbers and measures in numerical figures collected
from the respond (Ishtiaq, 2019). In this study, the research will use technics like ratios and
weight measures to quantify the benefit of social media in different business organizations.
For example, the number of sales annually within the business before incorporating social
media technology in their communication system and after implementing the use of social
media for communication. The total revenue realized after and before the deployment of the
social media communication technics etc. The qualitative research method employs
descriptive data or style to provide a quality description of the subject of the study (Ishtiaq,
2019). In this study, a qualitative research method will be used to describe how the use of
social media has impacted business different business organizations. For example, the
descriptive data in this research might include how effective social media is as a mode of
communication that impacted the business operation, sales, and traffic influence towards the
company website. On the other side, the mixed research method combines both qualitative
and quantitative research methods to help achieve the research objective (Ishtiaq, 2019).
