The powers between the two have been divided according to the needs of the citizens. This has made sure that more powers are left to the people so as to help in ensuring democracy prevails. People do get direct interaction with the government through states government in matters such as schooling. Some other services include driving licenses and library services. This has led to the development of discussions if the states governments have too many powers or they are just ok. The United States contains a constitution that controls every governmental activity and other issues affecting the country (Renan & Daphna, p.211). However, the states governments are also allowed to have their own constitution. It is for this reason that some states seem to allow for some things such as abortion while other states do not advocate for it.
