The nominal scales are the crudest of measurement, and there are two primary ways in which nominal scale data can be collected. It can be done either by asking an open-ended question, the answers which can be coded to a respective number of labels, as decided. The other alternative is to include a multiple choice question in which the answers will be labeled. Examples: gender, political preferences, place of residence. Table 1.
