The campaign was established by the government of the United States of America with an aim of reducing the importation, the export and the sale of drugs in the country. The war of drugs was a campaign that was developed in the year 1971 by the President of the United States of America. Richard Nixon was the president of the country during the time of the campaign and he was the founder of the movement. The government took a lot of drastic measures which were mainly meant to increase the number of federal facilities in the country.
