Discussion:
It is claimed by the Sophists of the Western Hemisphere that there are no truths of objectives.
The greatest philosophers of all times Socrates, Plato and Aristotle did not agree this. The
Western history has been dominated by the absolutist’s version since the last two centuries. It
is not possible for anyone to judge the character of another person or to adapt the character of
another person. Character has to develop in a person from the childhood itself. The society
and the family atmosphere of a person also play an important role in the development of the
character of an individual. This truth has been forgotten in the present scenario where there
are no values for the society or groups. The main aim of each individual is to survive in the
world at any cause. Character of an individual is greatly influenced by the behaviour and the
circumstances that one comes across in the real life.
Cultural diversity is present in almost all parts of the world. The beliefs and the practices that
is accepted in a culture will not be accepted by the beliefs of other cultures. Mental/Spiritual
health also requires the ability to deal with the challenges that it comes through in the real
time life. A person is accepted and recognised by his/her clothing and by the way, she
approaches people in most of the places, but this is not the same globally. It is considered
modesty by most of the conservatives while the most modernised cultures would consider it
part of their fashion. Some of the indigenous people around the world will identify that it is
not necessary to wear cloths in order to portray themselves as well cultured.
Relativism is best explained by the theory that the knowledge a person acquires is based on
the nature of a mind that include the ethical truths that hold the individuals and the groupo
together.
