Insertion Anomalies
In order to insert the new details of a student which is presented at department b1 into the
Student_dept we have made above, we will have to enter the correct details of b1 thus, the
details of department remain consistent along with presented values in department b1.
In order to insert the information of new department that does not consist of Student in the
Student_dept, we will have to enter “nulls” for the information of Student which is not
applicable as Student_id since it is the primary key. This disadvantage becomes new problem
for developers to solve which consumes extra time and makes the database vulnerable.
However, beta testing is the best way to offer the program so that problems can be solved at
first place and to comply with standards.
Deletion anomalies
If we try to delete the row from the Student_dept which is represented above, the operation
will usefully be done; however, we will lose the details regarding that department as-well.
These types of unnecessary deletions are not a good option to choose while dealing with the
prior database. We most prefer to keep data in some other forms so that the students can
come afterwards to redo the operations but primarily when we perform the deletion the data
is deleted permanently at first place which leaves us with no backup option; for which we
