Men, as a result, began worshiping her and ignored the altars of the goddess of beauty and love, Venus. Men began saying that compared to Venus, psyche was more beautiful. Venus got mad and jealous. Venus, the goddess of love asked Cupid to make Psyche fall in love with some ugly thing. Instead, Cupid fell in love with her. Psyche’s sister got married before her.
