Wild Type E. coli, RecN mutant, and RecA mutant strains of
E. coli are each exposed to UV light. There are 4 conditions
for each strain: 0 minutes of exposure, 15 minutes, 30
minutes, and 60 minutes of exposure. Therefore, there is
data for 4 time conditions for each of the three strains. We
want to know whether there is a significant different
between the groups based on time.
The first set of data is for two days averaged together, and
the second set of data is for one day.
Solution
First seperate the data by timepoint. Then for each
timepoint, apply the ANOVA method and check whether the
F-value and p-value indicate the difference between strains
is significant or not.
Since, the data is not visible I am not to solve the problem.
You can also check that whether there is any significant
change across the timepoint for each strain by using mixed
model.
