Metaphors are essential not only in communicating leadership concepts but also in analyzing leadership skills used by diverse people (Clouse et al., 2013). This paper will examine multiple videos related to leadership metaphors, give an overview of the process of deriving at a leadership metaphor, and provide a personal leadership metaphor in the form of a poem. Part I – Critique of Videos Related to Leadership Metaphors Metaphors have a significant impact on elucidating leadership skills and perceptions owing to their ease of generation (Clouse et al., 2013). In effect, metaphors derive from imagination, hence unique to every individual’s understanding. Several authors have made significant attempts to shed light on the concept of leadership metaphors.
