Finding the right target audience is one of the most important marketing functions
needed to have a successful organization. A target audience is the intended audience of an
advertisement or message that is catered specifically to the intended audience for the
organization. According to company data, more than 70% of our audience fall into the
generation Z category. This means that we must acknowledge their needs, mindsets,
perceptions, and their preferred methods of communication to have a successful marketing
plan.
Marketing to Generation Z can, at times, be perceived as unique because of how this
generation grew up grew up with technology. They have grown up and relied on digital devices
for their whole lives so marketing for this generation must have an approach that relives on
technology. Two digital marketing approaches that work best for generation Z are: (1) Social
Media Marketing and (2) Video Marketing. Social media marketing builds a brand and creates
an awareness about the product you are marketing. This would help expand our reach in the
generation Z category and promote the park reopening. Video marketing is another marketing
tool that we could use to promote the park reopening. Video marketing could increase the
reach and growth of the audience and promote the reopening of the park.
Being able to reach your target audience is key to a successful reach of a generation,
while focusing on brand image. The best way to reach Generation Z is with social media
platforms, influencers connecting with the Generation Z audience, and online advertisements.
There are only two platforms in social media that tend to gain a lot of traction from the
Generation Z audience. TikToK and Instagram are two main platforms that this generation
