Review Juanita’s World Parts 1-5 and write a 5-7 page paper. Pretend you are Juanita and develop a
human resource plan to share with your boss. Develop a scenario which analyzes and summarizes the
current situation for the employer. You are to create details that make this scenario more realistic and
support your response to the issues and questions presented below.
Your paper should include the following:
o Evaluate the cultural issues that need to be addressed
o Analyze the ethical considerations that apply
o Describe the organization’s current hiring needs and projected hiring needs for the coming year
o Develop a recruitment plan for fulfilling the company’s current and future hiring needs
o Explain the plan the company should follow to manage employee performance
o Identify at least 4 laws or regulations that apply to the company. Explain the actions Juanita’s
company has to take to ensure they are conforming to the requirements of these identified laws and
regulations.
o Provide a recommendation for the organization on how they can motivate employees while
adhering to the legal and regulatory requirement and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

hiring needs. I will develop a recruitment plan to help fulfill the company’s current and
future hiring needs. I will identify and explain in details the action Juanita’s employer
can take to ensure they conform to the identified laws and regulations. I will
recommend how the organization can motivate employees while adhering to legal and
regulatory requirements and maintain safety and health in the workplace.
Working within an organization you have to be sure all employees are being treated fair.
Juanita needs to make sure cultural issues such as; basic rules of behavior in the
workplace are addressed. Juanita would need to assure the employees as well as
Rich, that their organization is following the federal guidelines of EEOC by enforcing all
federal laws prohibiting job discrimination. According to the text, “In response to Equal
Employment Opportunity laws and market forces, many organizations today are
concerned about managing diversity – creating an environment that allows all
employees to contribute to organizational goal and
experience personal growth.” (Noe, et al., 2009 para # 2) Juanita can use diversity
training such as videos, lectures, and experimental exercises to help address these
issues.
There are some ethical issues that Juanita should take into consideration such as
discrimination or unjust dismissal. Juanita should implement a performance
management system to protect the employee’s privacy. Implementing a performance
management system, Juanita is helping her organization from facing lawsuits for their
actions if they fire someone without probable cause or if they do not hire someone
based on their race, age, or disability. “Employers are required to post notices to all
employees advising them of their rights under the laws EEOC enforces and their right to
be free from retaliation.” (http://www.eeoc.gov) These notices should be visible to all
employees including the employees with disabilities such as; vision impaired or hearing
impaired.

or reliable with performing their job duties. They are just filling a spot. She has been
informed of the employees who are willing to do their job. It seems the current
employees were hired without any employee training programs being introduced to
them or the moral within the organization is down so low, the workers do not care about
their jobs.
For those employees who are willing to work, Juanita needs to come up with some
new ideas to hire and retain the right people within the organization. Since there is a
lack of cash, Juanita’s new ideas would have to be inexpensive. She could fire the
employees who are just filling the spot. Juanita feels she has limited authority as a HR
Manager, but knows there is more work to be done to make this a successful
organization. Juanita has to change the current conditions by implementing some new
employee training and development plans. “A new hire training program provides a
fundamental understanding of the position and how the position fits within the
organization structure.” (Bodimer, 2011) Juanita would need to be very creative and
suggests some motivational ideas to Rich, so the current employees would be willing to
participate in. Something that is very inexpensive is acknowledging the good work the
employees provide. Also, giving a small incentive can boost the moral and make
employees want to work.
Fulfilling the company’s current and future hiring needs, Juanita would need to develop
a recruitment plan. “In human resource management recruiting consists of any practice
or activity carried on by the organization with the primary purpose of identifying and
attracting potential employees.” (Noe, 2009 et al., para # 1) Juanita should what
positions needs
to be filled within the organization. After identifying the position, Juanita would need to
develop a job specification. Basically the job specification will help Juanita choose the
person she wants to hire. Now that a job specification has been developed, Juanita
would need to describe the position in way it would attract and retain qualifying
