General practitioners are the first physicians who evaluate patients with any health issues. Primary healthcare offers comprehensive and continuing care for all individuals and not only treats illnesses but also works with patients even when they are feeling healthy to create strong skills of health care by promoting health education and prevention of diseases. Interestingly, the elderly population is increasing growing all over the world (Zafar et al., 2006). Primary care clinical practice focuses on the special needs of older adults, which are distinct from other population of patients. The body of an older adult is distinct physiologically from that of a younger adult (Zafar et al., 2006). An elderly patient tends to develop severe state of disease and usually have comorbidities resulting in lengthy stays in the treatment facilities. Unlike younger adults, older adults have an increased risk of acquiring chronic non-communicable ailments (Zafar et al., 2006). They are also at increased risk of failing and getting fractured bones.
