These accidents can occur in any place of employment, thus the need to keep the work place neat, need to have proper safety signs, train employees on safety, carry out emergency drills, and have an emergency team in place. The work place should always be kept clean. Cleanliness is a deterrent of accidents in the work place because it diminishes the chances of injury. A cluttered environment is challenging to maneuver, and workers will likely be more prone to accidents in such a setting. Cluttered items such as computer cables and cords create tripping hazards. As employees move up and down in attempts to meet deadlines, they may not pay much attention to hanging cables, and therefore these should be properly handled to protect employees from any possible accidents.
