1. In your own words, explain the difference between international health and global health
International health is a field of healthcare that focuses on health across regional and
national boundaries. For example, being concerned with health issues in Europe. On the other
hand, the global health involves health concerns worldwide. This involves health affecting the
worldwide population. An example is COVID-19 that has affected the entire world.
2. In your opinion, is health, and access to healthcare a universal human, right? Provide
reasons and sources for why or why not.
Health and access to healthcare are a basic need to the people, and it is supposed to be
classified as a universal human right. There should be no social-cultural, economic, and
geographical, and gender barriers in healthcare. There is a need for universal health care to lower
health care costs and maintaining high-quality healthcare. According to the 1948 Universal
Declaration of Human Rights, health is a right to an adequate living standard. A person and his
family are supposed to have the right to access medical care such as right to access medicines and
health-related information.
3. Now, look at the SDGs (Links to an external site.) (https://sdgs.un.org/goals) Pick 2 goals
that you feel should be prioritized. Why do you feel we need to ensure these goals are met
