Caueses of Homelessness

I am writing this mail to you concerning various topics and how they play a role in homelessness

that Ana suggested. The mail will give the findings of the multiple issues and insights on further

research on the same.

Homelessness is a topic of concern in society today. Homelessness is the state of one lacking a

home where they live in the streets, live away from their homes, or have nowhere to stay.

Substance addiction is a critical topic in homelessness as it can cause one to be homeless either

directly or indirectly. When one is an addict to drugs, they quarrel and become at war with most

of the other family members, which can cause them to go to the streets where they feel they have

the freedom to do all the wrong things. Also, drug addiction causes one to become very

dependent on the drugs and sell anything to acquire the medications, including their houses

hence becoming homeless. It is essential to research what extreme drug abuse can cause trouble

with the other family members being forced to move out (Pottie et al., 2020). People with

schizophrenia can be on bad terms with other family members as they do not understand their

situation and even throw them into the streets (Jones et al., 2020). More research is necessary to

determine how family members can deal with such people without harsh actions. Post-traumatic

stress disorder is a great contributor to homelessness. A police officer fighting terrorism can

experience a lot of stress after exercise for experiencing people dying from gunshots mercilessly

and even being restless at home. Also, people who have shared their loved ones dying may

become very rebellious and even leave their homes on the streets (Roze et al., 2020). It is

essential to do more research on the therapy that people going through trauma can receive to

prevent them from leaving their homes.

Neurocognitive deficits involve reducing the brain's functions due to injury to the brain, drug

abuse, or even mental illness. When people suffer from such things, they can only go in the

streets where some leave lovely homes, and their condition takes them to the streets (Horan et

al., 2020). More research on the prevention of neurocognitive deficits is essential as it will help

reduce the causes of homelessness. Domestic violence involves majorly physical abuse among

couples, and that can cause the affected to move out of their homes with nowhere to go.

Research on the reasons for increasing domestic violence cases is essential (Duke & Searby,

2019). The community we slive in has different perceptions of homelessness and the homeless.

People associate most homeless people with laziness, substance abuse, theft, and even cruelty,

which is not valid in most cases. Such makes the people prefer being lost to families that will not

accept them (Petit et al., 2019). Other mental disorders that can cause one to run away from their

homes are anxiety, phobias, depression, and bipolar disorder. People with such mental problems

do not believe that others love them, and therefore they end up running away from home. It is

essential to find ways to solve such disorders, especially in their early stages, to avoid them

further.
