Canada among many other countries in the world faces to many challenges due to the
collision between the aboriginal people and the foreigners. During the early days the land was
huge and most of the native people did not divide land since land belonged to the community.
Different communities had different territories, each territory was safeguarded by the warriors of
the community. They had their source of food, water and also shelter on their lands. With the
different traditions, communities had to stay away from each other or else war would occur in an
every time in fight for resources. Communities had their own cultures and believes, introduction
of foreign people lead to a mix in beliefs and culture and before the blending of the two cultures
war was the only solution. The foreign men forced the aboriginal people to separate and
therefore their cultures and believes were affected. Land being a community property it had to be
shared which brought war over the available resources. The colonialists also played a huge role
in breaking the culture of the native residents of the land (Sommervile, 2018). Fighting for the
resources, introduction of roads and railways that passed through the lands brought many issues.
Some of the local governments of the native people collaborated with colonialist and the
community lands were sold at a price without the knowledge of the community members. Roads
and railways came to serve as boundaries, some of the lands were taken by the government and
the native communities were forced to be squatters living in very little pieces of land. The essay
discusses the colonization road in Canada and how different treaties were formed to ensure that
peace prevailed.
In Canada, the government had to take away land from the natives. This land was to be
used for passing roads and railways to the lands. The government knew that it would beneficial
not only to the indigenous people but also to the country at large. The roads would be used in the
