The battle was one of the campaigns in the First World War, which involved the German empire and the allied powers. In this battle, the allied powers fought against the German. The war took place in the year 1917 between July and the one of December. Between 4th November and 7th November, the second Canadian division was commanded to capture and attack the Passchendaele1. Both the 25th and the 27th Battalion worked together and jointly in attacking the Passchendaele on the right2. The 31st Battalion was given the responsibility of attacking the Passchendaele on the left part.
