It was further developed by the Defense Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in late 1962. Later after development, packets switching was developed by UCLA which formed the basis of the internet connections. In the year 1965, Lawrence Roberts connected a Massachusetts computer with a California computer over dial-up phone lines and through that the feasibility of wide area networking.
