comprehend the writing group concerning qualitative interviewing (Brayda & Boyce, 2014).
Qualitative interviewing starts with the supposition that the viewpoint of others is significant
(Brayda & Boyce, 2014). As per Creswell (1998), there are a few stages associated with
interviewing. One should recognize interviewees as indicated by intentional examining. Patton
(2002) further expressed that an influential researcher interviews individuals to discover things
that are not easily discernable. One crucial part of interviewing is posing the proper inquiries
(Brayda & Boyce, 2014). Glesne & Peshkin (1992) instruct that interview questions should fit
the theme and be socially relative.
In this assignment, the learner aims to develop an interview guide for a research study,
focusing on work-life balance issues for online learners in a business or technology doctoral
program. The learner will construct a research purpose statement based on selected references
informed by a theoretical framework and includes the research methodology and a construct of
the central phenomenon that will focus on the study. Then, the learner will construct research
questions and sub-questions as needed. The questions will align with the research purpose
statement, use constructs from the purpose statement, and characterize the chosen methodology.
Next, the learner will develop 810 open-ended interview questions that will be responsive to the
research question and appropriate for collecting data. Finally, the learner will discuss how each
proposed question relates to the research purpose, question, and fundamental concepts/theories.
