What’s Culture
I did not check two of the items that I felt may drive me away from my culture. For
example, I did not answer the question, “I do not have to ask for directions and approval
every step of the way.” For the items I checked, I think I acquired such preferences from my
interactions with people and understanding our differences. I also learned how to be treated
by determining what was ethical or not.
Culture is the behavior or conduct shared among a particular set of individuals.
Culture guides peoples behavior and determines organizations’ structure across the globe
(Hall & Hall, 1995). Diverse cultures in the organizations may lead to different treatments
within the organization. Culture can affect the performance and productivity of institutions
and companies. Culture is described as how organizations conduct their operations. What
employees occasionally do can also be used to describe organizational culture.
The behavioral results are guided by structure, processes, and motivations, which
showcase the organizational culture. Different individuals and employees are motivated
differently to enable improved performance. Corporate culture, therefore, determines how
people want to be treated to improve individual performance in the organizations (Watkins,
2013). Culture ought to accommodate all individuals by understanding how they feel while
working. Furthermore, personal interests and perspectives are absorbed into the
organizations operations to enable all as one units integration (Magnus & DeChurch, 2009).
Culture influences employees moral conduct by dictating what is right or wrong. Culture
ensures that all employees work towards a common target to guarantee development and
growth in an organization.
Culture ensures that employees work as a team to achieve the organization’s
objectives (Magnus & DeChurch, 2009). Failure to treat individuals in a manner that they
