However, the two are completely different and one cannot happen before the other happens. Therefore is true to conclude that they are mutually independent. To put it clearly, for two people to reconcile, forgiveness must take effect. Therefore, reconciliation is dependent on forgiveness (Emerick, 2017). To differentiate between the two, it is important to define the two terms. Forgiveness is the act of letting go of someone after they have done wrong. It can include both parties and one party.
