Imperatively, effective re-entry or reintegration programs are required on a case by case management. Reintegration programs and resources within the community are essential in helping a former offender from reoffending and reduce recidivism (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, 2012). Further, such programs increase public safety. In this assignment, the paper critical areas for an offender who has been released from a minimum-security correctional facility and designs a treatment plan based on community programs and resources for the offender.
