Sea-level rise, mostly originating from the melting glaciers in Antarctica and Greenland,
is another manifestation of climate change, and it has the potential to spark a global conflict. For
instance, the melting of the arctic sea ice has resulted in the unlocking of icebound regions, and
as a result opening them to mining, oil and gas drilling, tourism, and shipping. It has led to an
