International Education 2
Introduction
International education is all about the movement of scholars and students who goes to other
parts of the world to study. Others move for research or teaching purposes. In simple terms,
international education involves the mobility of students in and out of the country for students
who come to learn, those undertaking community-based service learning, scholars who come to
do their research and faculty who moves to other parts of the world to teach. The main
objectives of international education are to learn about different cultures and places, advancing
cultural capital and knowledge and gaining intercultural skills to move in and out of the country
for educational purposes. For many years, international education has been in existence, and
individuals have been seeking education elsewhere to better their lives. International education
help individuals to give back to their communities and societies and equip themselves better as
individuals of their respective nations. It is not the only United States engaging in international
education, but many countries have also been participating in international education. The
essay will explore three key elements from the Study, including a discussion of the importance
of International Education as a field of study and a meeting of the critical factors in international
education. The essay will further explore how a country of my choice addresses one of the
essential factors.
Importance of International Education as A Field of Study
In the present day, international education is the best gift that parents can offer to their children.
Today’s children are the ones who will be responsible for making decisions in future.
International education plays an active role in transforming today's children to become
responsible citizens in tomorrow's world. International education is also essential as it enables
the present children to become conscientious participants in the global world that will need
individuals to know. Still, it will require the individuals to have proper skills to understand
diversity. It will also need individuals to cooperate with other people and respect cultural
differences no matter how different the people or cultures are from them or theirs.
