In an article from the Associated Press, it was reported
that researchers \"randomly selected 200 New York
motorists who had been in an accident and 200 who had
not. Of those accidents, 68.7% had a phone in their car,
while just 59.6% of the accident-free drivers had a phone
in the car.\" Identify the most statistically notable feature
of these results. Explain your answer.
Solution
As the percenatge of accident or accident -free cars with
phone is almost same, so statistically it seems th at the
presence of the phone in car is not a cause of accident.
In fact the research is done wronlgy as instead of whether
the phoneis present , we have to know whetherr the phone
was in use while driving.
