Presenting Problem(S) In working with adolescents who have been victims of discrimination of any kind is particularly difficult, especially for biracial adolescents. The development of minorities is adversely impacted in the face of discrimination and prejudice. Their sense of self-concept is affected when the society deems them as inferior. In an effort to establish their identity and place within, biracial adolescents are faced with challenges. There are rampant behaviors and attitudes within society which put a limit on how they develop.
