This was mostly brought about by the easy access to trade routes and the availability of natural resources. The favorable climate which made it easy for the occupants of these regions also contributed to the growth of the Byzantine Empire (Muscato, 2017). Emperor Constantine converted the empire into a Christian empire and also transferred the empire’s capital from Rome to Byzantium which was a Greek city which he later renamed to Constantinople in respect to his name.
