The research question is whether there is a difference between the sales of a product
whether it is on permanent (wood and metal) or temporary display (corrugate and plastics). In
this study, the dependent variable is the sales on the product and the independent variable is the
length of the display (temporary vs permanent). To study this relationship, two samples of sales
with a display on (permanent) vs no display (temporary) were measured.
To establish the fact whether there is a significant difference in sales depending on a
display, a two sample t-test for means with unequal variances is performed.
