The health authorities then developed the initiative of segregating Hantavirus from a deer mouse that was residing in the homestead of one of the victims of the virus. So far it is estimated that more 600 people living in the U.S have contracted affected by HPS while around 36% have died as result of the disease as per the findings of centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Organisms That the Virus Can Affect HPS is a unique and lethal viral infection that is spread by mice and rats. The virus basically affects human beings. These rats and mice shed the traces of the virus in their urine, droppings as well as saliva. The tiny droplets containing the virus spreads in the air hence people get affected after breathing in the infected air or contacting urine or droppings from these rodents. Therefore, human beings cannot catch the virus from their fellows (Kruger, 2015).
