There usually are freely living or aggregated into simple units called colonies. They have a diverse reproductive and nutritional mode which typically include the slime molds, protozoans, and eukaryotic algae. Other examples of such organisms will consist of the fungi and some bacteria like the blue-green algae. The microorganisms, however, could also be distributed along kingdom Plantae or Animalia depending on the dominant characteristics that they display. There are various types of protists which will include: the algae, fungi like the slime molds and water molds and protozoa. In this particular essay, I will consider amoeba.
